Good morning/good afternoon/good evening, my name is XXX. Really very honored to have this opportunity to introduce myself the opportunity.

I want to answer anything you might improve, I hope I can make a good performance today. I am a third year major in automation in Shanghai Jiao Tong University, PR China. Withtremendous interest in industrial engineering, I am writing this letter to apply for the PhD in your project.

In 1995, I entered the Nanjing University of science and technology (social)-is widely regarded as one of the best engineering schools in China. In the following undergraduate study, my grades remained outstanding in the whole sector.

I won the first prize of each term, in 1999, I had the privilege of entering the graduate school entrance exam to give up. During my graduate studies, I average overall standings (3.77/4.0) top 5%. In the second semester, I become a teacher's Assistant, only to the talented and mature students.

This year, I won the Acer scholarship in my sector the only candidate, this is the ultimate honor student my University.

Now, I'm going to my senior honors thesis and excellent graduation thesis. Sophomore research experience and academic activity, when I joined the Association of AI enthusiasts, started narrowing my interests for my future research.

OpenGL tools Matlab, I designed a simulationprogram transportation scheduling system. Now widely used by the different research group is abundant. I think the realization of waste water analysis and treatment projects for sewagetreatment plant in Nanjing.

This is the first time I practice laboratory's idea into a commercial product. In retrospect, I found myself standing on a solid foundation of theory and experience, was ready I was unable to get a doctorate. My future research interests include: network scheduling, heuristic algorithm (particularly genetic algorithms and neural networks), and supply chain networks, hybrid system with Petri net analysis and data mining.
