敬爱的老师，亲爱的同学们：
大家好！
我叫xx。这次我很荣幸能站在讲台上进行英语科代表的竞选。这次，我要通过我的努力，成为老师的助手，同学的榜样，我相信我一定能竞选上英语科代表这个职务。
虽然我是一名中学生，但是我喜爱英语，成绩更是在班里名列前茅。甚至有时候玩游戏我都玩英语的，虽然有些我不会念，但慢慢来，总是能学会的。再说了，这几年我一直都是英语课代表，有一些经验，我有责任、有能力为英语老师做好我力所能及的工作。
一个人最可怜的是无知，最可悲的是自私，最可敬的是拼搏。不管我竞选成功与否，我都会让自私、无知与我无缘。只有那一股子拼劲，为大家，为班级做事。我在每次的英语考试中都能达到95分以上，成绩很不错，此外，我有着强烈的责任心，有丰富的经验，可以帮助老师做一些力所能及的事。如果我竞选成功，我一定会全心全意地为同学服务。每天早上，我会带领同学们进行早读，并把同学的作业收齐。
我不仅英语学习成绩好，而且我做的英文海报和我的.英语书写，也是很厉害的！我在业余时间里或假期里，我喜欢看英语报、读英文书、唱英文歌……
我从二年级到五年级，都是英语课代表，所以我有决心和经验来承担英语课代表这个职责。虽然我的口语能力还有待提高，但是我会继续努力的！

" take. take. take. the relationship between a mother and a child always seems to follow such a pattern. i know my mother is always there for me, providing me with everything i need; from food to clothing, from tuition to pocket money. i never thought twice about all she did until one day she said, "will there be a time that you'll say you have taken enough from me? " like a child endlessly asking, we humans, throughout history, have been continually demanding what we desire from nature. we enjoy the comfort and beauty of our furniture, yet we never bother to think about the serious soil erosion caused by deforestation. we take it for granted that we must warm ourselves in winter times, yet we seldom realize the burning away of precious natural resources. we appreciate all the prosperity from the development of modern industry, yet few would give the slightest consideration to the global air and water pollution caused by industrial wastes. our ruthless exploitation has permanently impaired our mother earth. as we tragically learned from last summer's floods. we cannot continue our carelessness. finally, standing here at the threshold of the 21st century, we cannot help thinking of our posterity. nature is not only the mother of the present generation, but also the mother of the generations to come. how severely our descendents will criticize us if we leave them a barren and lifeless mother? how much more they will appreciate us if we give them a world of harmony to inherit? let us start respecting and caring for nature from now on. let us start the campaign of creating a mutually beneficial relationship between people and nature right from this moment. with this new start, i firmly believe, that our children, and our children's children will live in a brand new age of green trees, clean air, crystal water, blue sky and an even more promising world!

大家好！
我是XX小学的XXX。今天我很荣幸坐在这发言，感谢领导给我这个机会。其实，我只是一名普普通通的小学英语教师。在十年嗑嗑绊绊的小学英语教学中，我不断学习探究，逐渐积累了一些对小学英语教学的个人经验。今天有机会和大家一起探讨，我感到很高兴，如果说的不当之处，还请各位多多包涵。
在这次全市小学英语优质课比赛中，共有14节词汇课。14位教师每一位都能认真钻研教材，抓住重难点教学，努力了解学生，完成任务教学。各位老师各尽所能，各展其才，给我们带来14节优秀的课。下面，我就从三个方面对这些课做一下小小的点评：
一、对词汇课的认识
词汇课听起来好象是单纯教几个单词，但在语言教学中我们应把握这样一个原则：词不离句，句不离境。这两句话说的什么意思？就是说在教学中教单词的同时，离不开句子的教学，教语句的同时不能脱离环境的创设。在这次比赛中，我们7号老师和9号老师就做的相当不错。7号老师教授的是四种水果：pear，orange，watermelon和peach。她利用猴子了一个cai课件创设情景，在教单词的同时，展示两个动物朋友喜不喜欢，从而引出句子：do you like……？yes，i do。/no，i don’t，同时让学生去扮演角色。角色扮演完后，自然过渡到调查周围同学。这样的'安排给人一种水到渠成的感觉。9号老师教的是四个形容词：big，small，long和short。她带领我们进入了动物园：看见大象学生就扮演：hi，i’m elephant。 i’m big。看见猴子学生就扮演：hello，i’m monkey。 i’m small。看见蛇学生就扮演：hello，i’m snake。 i’m long。看见小白兔学生就扮演：hi，i’m rabbit。 i have a short tail…学生兴趣高，也非常积极主动去运用英语交际。
二、对词汇课课堂结构的认识
一节好的课，首先要教学思路清晰，目的明确，重难点突出。我们小学英语教学过程大致可分为以下几块：
1、warm—up热身让学生通过游戏、chant、歌曲等进行一个暖身，调动学生的学习兴趣。
2、preview/revision预习或复习可对过去的相关知识进行一下回顾展示
3、presentation and practice主要是呈现新知，教授新知，并能利用各种教学手段和教学方法对所学知识进行巩固操练。在这14位参赛教师中，1号，4号，6号，8号，9号，10号，11号，13号等老师，她们运用了competation 、chant 、tpr 、look and match、
listen and point、 listen and draw 、guessing game和task—based等教学方法，采取了师生操练、小组操练、生生操练等多种形式，给人一种多姿多彩的感觉。特别提出的是6号和10号老师，她们可能不是英语专业毕业的老师，但她们能充分利用空中资源，和学生一起学习，一起做游戏，共同操练，这很值得让我们去借鉴。
4、consolidation and extension就是对我们所学的知识做一个总结和拓展。
这几部教学环节相辅相成，互相联系。教学时我们可以用简单的游戏、歌曲甚至是短短的几句课堂用语就能将它们自然衔接，慢慢过渡，但有很多老师常常忽视这些，使的下一个环节出现的有点突然。比赛中我认为做的比较好的有X号等老师。
三、关于课堂教学细节的处理
优秀的课堂之所以优秀，除了教学结构外，还有细节的独特处理，就如人一样，七分长相三分打扮。如1号、2号、10号老师的cai课件，4号和9号老师独特新颖的词卡，4号和13号老师漂亮的板书设计，11号和12号老师多样的评价语，13号和14号老师完整的评价体系（形成性评价与终结性评价相结合），5号和12号老师好听的语音语调，特别是12号老师夸张的语音语调和态势语，这些都留给了我们每一个在场的老师深刻的印象。
总的说来，各位老师都能较好的完成教学任务，但是也存在不少问题，需要去改善：
1、加强自身学习，少犯知识性错误。尽量运用简短的英语，让学生听懂指令。
2、缺少对语言情境的创设，各个知识点之间出现一定的块面，如果能够一条线索贯穿起来就更加好了。
3、对学生的小组活动需加强指导，培养学生用英语交流的习惯。
4、要探究对课堂知识的拓展。
5、应注重细节的处理，如板书设计、学生座位的安排、评价语的多样化等。
今天，在王老师的组织安排下，我们聚在一起共同学习。感谢各位领导对我们工作的支持与理解，也感谢王老师为我们全市老师们和学生们在不到一年的时间里提供了多次展示自我的舞台。我相信，在王老师的领导下，我们仙桃市小学英语会有更大的进步。谢谢！

Good afternoon, everybody. I just want to say a few words about the landmark vote that the House of Representatives is poised to(随时准备着) take today -- a vote that can bring us one step closer to making real the promise of quality, affordable health care for the American people. For the better part of a year now, members of the House and the Senate have been working diligently and constructively to craft legislation that will benefit millions of American families and millions of American businesses who urgently need it. For the first time ever, they've passed bills through every single committee responsible for reform. They've brought us closer than we have ever been to passing health insurance reform on behalf of the American people. Now is the time to finish the job. The bill that the House has produced will provide stability and security for Americans who have insurance; quality, affordable options for those who don't; and lower costs for American families and American businesses. And as I've insisted from the beginning, it is a bill that is fully paid for and will actually reduce our long-term federal deficit(赤字，不足). This bill is change that the American people urgently need. Don't just take my word for it. Consider the national groups who've come out in support of this bill on behalf of their members: The Consumers Union supports it because it will create -- and I quote -- "a more secure, affordable health care system for the American people." The American Medical Association and the American Nurses Association support it on behalf of doctors and nurses and medical professionals who know firsthand what's broken in our current system, and who see what happens when their patients can't get the care they need because of insurance industry bureaucracies. The National Farmers Union supports this bill because it will control costs for farmers and ranchers(牧场主), and address the unique challenges rural Americans face when it comes to receiving quality care. And the AARP supports it because it will achieve the goal for which the AARP has been fighting for decades -- reducing the cost of health care, expanding coverage for America's seniors, and strengthening Medicare for the long haul. Now, no bill can ever contain everything that everybody wants, or please every constituency(选区) and every district. That's an impossible task. But what is possible, what's in our grasp right now is the chance to prevent a future where every day 14,000 Americans continue to lose their health insurance, and every year 18,000 Americans die because they don't have it; a future where crushing costs keep small businesses from succeeding and big businesses from competing in the global economy; a future where countless dreams are deferred or scaled back because of a broken system we could have fixed when we had the chance. What we can do right now is choose a better future and pass a bill that brings us to the very cusp of building what so many generations of Americans have sought to build a better health care system for this country. Millions of Americans are watching right now. Their families and their businesses are counting on us. After all, this is why they sent us here, to finally confront the challenges that Washington had been putting off for decades to make their lives better, to leave this country stronger than we found it. I just came from the Hill where I talked to the members of Congress there, and I reminded them that opportunities like this come around maybe once in a generation. Most public servants pass through their entire careers without a chance to make as important a difference in the lives of their constituents and the life of this country. This is their moment, this is our moment, to live up to the trust that the American people have placed in us -- even when it's hard; especially when it's hard. This is our moment to deliver. I urge members of Congress to rise to this moment. Answer the call of history, and vote yes for health insurance reform for America.

大家晚上好！
今天，我很荣幸地在这里，作为你们孩子的英语老师，和你们共同探讨一下“五年级孩子的英语学习”。由于跟很多家长是初次见面，因此首先做一下自我介绍：我是你们孩子的英语老师，我姓叶。 首先，介绍一下教材的转变情况。我们五年级英语是跟三.四年级英语教材相衔接的，也是和我们的初中英语相配套的。五年级英语是英语学习的重要阶段，如果我们有心的家长仔细看的话，会发现我们英语书的词汇量与语法都较四年级有较大的提升，而且还出现了语篇教学，这也对我们五年级学生明确提出了更高的要求。
其次，我想讲一下班级学生英语学习情况。其实在座的家长对自身子女的情况比我更加清楚。他们都是在同一起跑线上起跑的，但经过几年来的学习，学生与学生之间已经拉开了差距。一些好的学生学习兴趣浓，学习劲头足，课堂上积极思维，踊跃发言，课后及时巩固，形成了良性循环的好势头。他们的学习习惯好，在听、说、读、写方面都能齐头并进，我为他们感到欣慰。可也有一些学生，平时学习马虎，基础不扎实，导致他们现在课上听讲出现困难，关键还不努力，书面作业拖拉不交，口头作业根本不完成，如此一来，学习自然成了件头痛事。其实，我们班大部分的学生还是处于中上等层次，尽管他们平时不需要老师操太多的心，费太大的力，但说起各方面的表现，又总有一丝遗憾，因为我们总希望他们能再上一个台阶。
有位教育家曾说过：只有学校教育而没有家庭教育，或者只有家庭教育而没有学校教育，都不能完成培养人这一及其艰巨而复杂的任务。因此在英语学习上，我们的家长也起到了很重要的作用，下面我给在座的家长提一些辅导孩子学习英语的建议
1）让孩子多听录音。
在少儿英语教学中，首先是加强听力训练和说话训练，然后才是读写能力的培养。听说能力差，用英语进行交际的能力差，为此，家长一定要配合学校来要求孩子，要创造条件让孩子多听，多听纯正的录音，听几遍、听清楚了以后，跟着说。我们的升学考试也一年比一年重视听力、阅读等需要综合能力的部分。
2）家长要每天留出15分钟左右时间让孩子读读英语，不管当天有无英语课。
我们要鼓励孩子大声地朗读、对话、问答，大声说，不害羞，这样有利于清楚地表达自身，也有利于他人纠正自身的错误。让孩子熟练背诵课文和单词背诵是一项基本功，可以积累一些日常用语，到用的时等候就可以脱口而出。但在检查过程中，我们发目前一部分学生背得相当熟练，可问他课文中的某个词组或句子的意思时，他却一问三不知。因此，我们在背诵过程中要注意上下文的理解，在理解的基础上达到背诵的要求，课文中涉及到的.相关词组和句型，要让学生熟记，并能用它们来造句、说话。
3）督促孩子预习、复习。这是一项很必要也很重要的任务。
因此，家长的首要任务是及时督促孩子复习当天学习的内容，提前预习下一堂课的学习任务。主要形式就是跟录音机大声读英语单词、句子、对话、短文等。英语和母语不同，没有学习的氛围和环境，必须“曲不离口”地反复诵读，才会记得牢。
4）每天检查孩子的回家作业是否完成，保证第二天能按时上交。
检查时不要只问一下有没有做，也请你亲自看一看，懂得家长还可以看看单词有没有抄错，题目有没有做错之类的。在具体的实施过程中发现：有些学生根本不用心学，能偷懒则偷懒，很多家长比较负责会查问有没有教新课，要不要默写，但孩子喜欢耍小聪明，不如实告诉家长。这时候，你应该及时跟我联系，让孩子知道：隐瞒不是办法，也会受到相应的惩罚。
5）有时我会布置学生回去背诵英语单词，并自身默写。
这时家长可以在家帮助学生默写，你可以报中文，让他默英文。并签上你的名字（注明默写），因为有的学生让他默一遍其实也就是抄一遍交差，一点效果也没有。单词亦是如此，分散记忆、根据读音记忆单词都是可取的方法。有时，我们回家布置抄写单词，其目的不在于抄，而在于提醒学生记忆这些单词。但在日常学习中，学生不重视这项作业，认为只是抄抄而已，不做也没什么关系，其实他连抄写都不做，根本别说是去背了，结果几次下来，他负债累累，应付不过来，学习处于被动状态，从而影响了以后的学习，出现退步现象。因此，请大家在家里督促孩子保质保量地完成英语作业，该读的读、该说的说、该写的写、该记的记，及时巩固，养成不错的习惯。
经过一个学期的教学，我发现我们五年级的家长都是比较认真负责的，对于自身孩子的英语学习都是比较关心的，总而言之，请家长的重视会让学生增多信心，提升学生的学习积极性。与其在期末时看到大家都不愿看到的不理想的分数，还不如在平时就多关心孩子学习的过程。还希望家校携手共同提升孩子们的英语学习水平。孩子是每个家庭的重心和希望，有一位家长说过：“要把培养孩子当作自身的事业来做。”是啊，只要你多投入一点，相信你的孩子会给予你更多的回报！我要讲的就是这些，谢谢大家。
