in the morning i bought many flowers with pocket money and put them in the vase. in the afternoon i went to the market to buy vegetables and cooked a simple but delicious dinner for my family. after supper, i gave mother the card that i made myself and said "happy mother's day" to her. then i told her to pay more attention to her health and not to overwork. i also promised to help her do some housework from today on. hearing the words, mother was moved to tears. today is a special day, warm and meaningful.

今天是母亲节。我想妈妈平时那么辛苦，而今天又生病了，我应该在这一个母亲节做更多的事情让妈妈高兴高兴。对，我今天应该买一件礼物送给母亲，还要做一些家务活；我想好了主意立刻行动起来。开始，我拿着自己的零花钱去买礼物——贺卡。
我走出家门往前走，看了几家小店。可是，这几家小店都没有贺卡卖。怎么办？再找！我又往前走。我想今天一定要找到贺卡。又走到一家小店，我看到里面有贺卡在卖。好了，终于给我找到了。我便走进小店挑选起来。
我让店主把各种类型的贺卡都拿出来。我一张一张地挑选着。终于给我找到了一张满意的贺卡。那张贺卡非常漂亮，而且一打开来就有动听的音乐，好极了。于是，我问老板：“多少钱一张？”老板和气地说：“小朋友，不贵，五元钱一张。”我想不错，钱确实不贵，买下了。我就付了钱拿了贺卡走回家去了。
回到家里，我看到妈妈还躺在床上睡觉。于是，我就开始动手做家务了。我先拿扫帚把地全部扫了一遍。接着，我又用拖把拖地板。拖了不久，我就把拖把拿到水龙头下面去冲洗。等到我全部拖完，妈妈正好睡醒。她看到干净整洁的房间就笑了。我赶紧放好拖把，拿来了贺卡，双手捧着递给了妈妈，并且大声说：“祝妈妈母亲节快乐！”妈妈听了说：“琳琳，贺卡并不重要，重要的是你的学习，只要你成绩好了，我就高兴了！”我说：“妈妈，我知道了，我一定会好好学习的，争取次次考满分。”

今天是母亲节，我参加了艺林的“我为妈妈做蛋糕”的活动。老师先给我们讲了一个关于母亲的故事，听了之后，让我更加认识到母爱的伟大。
接下来就要进入主题———做蛋糕。老师发给每人一块面包，蛋糕师傅先跟我们讲了做蛋糕的步骤，就轮到我们动手了。我先把奶油挤在面包上，用小刀把奶油刮平，接下来要做最有趣的事情了，就是用各种不同色彩和味道的奶油在蛋糕上画出可爱的图案。我用蓝莓味的奶油画了头发，用巧克力味的奶油画眼睛，最后用草莓味的奶油画鼻子和嘴巴。这样，一个小小的蛋糕就完成了。
我把它送给我最爱的妈妈，虽然蛋糕做得不太好看，但妈妈说：“你自已做的蛋糕比买的更有意义！”

on new year’s eve, all the people sit around the desk and have a big family dinner. there are some vegetables, some fish, some meat, some fruits and some drink like juice, coke, pepsi and some nice wine. overall, this is a good and delicious dinner. after dinner, we always watch tv new year progammes. we have a wonderful evening on new year’s eve.
on the first day of the spring festival, most of people get up early and say “happy new year” to each other. for breakfast, people often eat dumplings and baozi. after breakfast, people often make many delicious foods, and children often play cards, computer games and fireworks. on the second and third day, we visit friends and relatives.
everyone is busy on chinese new year, and everyone is happy, too.
